About the ACM China Council
ACM has launched an effort aimed at increasing the level and visibility of ACM activities across China. The ACM community in China is growing in membership, number of chapters, sponsored conferences and symposia.
The ACM China Council comprises a cross section of the computer science and information technology community committed to increasing the visibility and relevance of ACM in China. The council is focused on a wide range of ACM activities, from creating channels to bring more high-quality ACM activities to China; to expanding ACM chapters; to enhancing access to the ACM Digital Library and publications for ACM members in China; to increasing the participation of ACM members in China across all dimensions of ACM.
The goals of the ACM China Council are to:
- serve as a professional network for individuals who are involved with the science and technology of computing
- contribute to advancing computing as a science and profession in China
- encourage students to take an active interest in the emerging and exciting world of computing

Chapters
There are an increasing number of ACM chapters across China. Each of these chapters has a series of technical events that will provide both interesting technical content and career networking opportunities.

How to Become an ACM Member
- Join ACM as a Student or Professional Member.
- You will receive an email confirming your membership that will include your ACM member number and the username assigned to you.
- Create your FREE ACM Web Account, using the username assigned to you, at https://campus.acm.org/public/accounts/create.cfm. You will be prompted to enter your email address, create a security question, and an answer to the security question. The email address you provide must match the one ACM has on file for you.
- To check the status of your membership, you can log in using your ACM Web Account (username and password) at myACM and follow the link "My Services".
