Lately, there has been an air of negativity amongst fans going around regarding the status and sales of Nintendo software. However, Nintendo of America has shared its sale figures focusing entirely on Nintendo 3DS titles, and show they’ve been going strong.

Nintendo stated more than 40 million units of Nintendo 3DS titles have been sold in the U.S. alone. That is quite an impressive number, and to add to that, nine 3DS titles have also sold at least one million units separately in the U.S. In addition, Nintendo also said “New Super Mario Bros. U” for the Wii U has sold 1.69 million copies, and another Wii U title, “Mario Kart 8," released toward the end of May 2014, has crossed one million copies sold in the U.S. With more highly anticipated Nintendo titles such as “Super Smash Bros.” for 3DS and the Wii U; "Pokémon Omega Ruby” and “Alpha Sapphire” for the 3DS; along with Wii U title “Hyrule Warriors” all releasing this Fall, it seems reasonable to expect their sale numbers to increase even higher and further.
